Drink driver who crashed car is banned
A WINCHESTER driver has been disqualified after drink driving and crashing into street furniture and fleeing the scene.
Daniel Aaron Thomas Postans, 23, of Baigent Close, Winnall, drove on Bar End Road, Bar End, on May 25 when over the legal limit.
When tested his alcohol reading was 59 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35.
He admitted the charge and received a 14-month ban with a £345 fine, £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Postans also admitted failing to stop after crashing into street furniture on Bar End Road on the same day. He was fined £185 by magistrates in Basingstoke.
The ban will be cut by 14 weeks if he passes an approved course by March 3 2022.
