A WINCHESTER drink driver has been banned from the road for 22 months.
Stewart Frank Mulcahy, 51, was caught driving a 17-reg Renault Clio on Romsey Road, Winchester, by police on August 7, Basingstoke Magistrates Cort was told.
Mulcahy, of Manor Road, Pitt Village, had 87 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35, making him more than double the legal limit.
Mulcahy pleaded guilty.
The court fined him £120, with a £30 victim surcharge and £50 costs.
The 22-month ban was obligatory for the offence. It will be cut by 155 days if he passes an approved course by November 20 2019.
