THE Daily Echo’s publisher is helping businesses through the Covid crisis by offering a free webinar on how to adapt and recover.

Pivoting Your Business is being run by LOCALiQ, the digital marketing agency of the Echo’s publisher Newsquest.

Tracy Hayden, LOCALiQ’s advertising manager for Dorset, said: “At LOCALiQ we are committed to supporting local businesses as they recover from the most challenging year in our lifetime.

“With over 15,000 clients across the UK, we found that one of the most challenging aspects they found about the past 12 months, was how did they adapt and change in a world where Covid had accelerated the digitalisation of customer interaction globally by several years?

“LOCALiQ is one of the UK’s fastest growing digital marketing agencies and the second largest publisher of regional and local newspapers in the UK and we are committed to supporting our clients in pivoting their business as we enter, at pace, the fourth industrial revolution.”

The Covid crisis has rapidly accelerated the rise in customer interactions taking place online.

Between July 2017 and May 2018, the share of customer interactions taking place online across Europe rose only from 18 per cent to 19 per cent. Yet between December 2019 and July 2020, the percentage increased from 32 per cent to 55 per cent.

The first Pivoting Your Business webinar is on Monday, March 29, 10am.

Tracy said: “When pivoting your business, making serious change in direction is really hard, and we aim to support businesses in finding ways to make it less painful.

“We too have had to significantly change our business over the past 10 years. The past year has made us fast track our plans. We will also be sharing the journey we have been on.

“Nobody will leave empty handed as we will also be giving attendees a free digital marketing guide to support them after the event.”
