A BUSINESS coach in Hampshire will hold a two-day conference to help other female entrepreneurs in the area and beyond develop their businesses, as the government’s furlough scheme draws to an end.

Trudy Simmons, a clarity and productivity business coach from Winchester, says people should see this as a turning point in their career and the chance to take a new path.

“The coronavirus has affected us all – people have lost their incomes, businesses have had to close, or people have been furloughed. The uncertainty has been hard on everyone,” she said.

“With redundancies on the rise and the furlough scheme ending on October 31, the uncertain times are expected to carry on.However, I believe that this could be an opportunity for so many people to start their own venture or try the career they’ve always wanted to pursue. There are opportunities to retrain and develop new skills to allow our professional selves to flourish.”

The conference, entitled Spectacular Online Business Symposium is aimed at women at all stages of their business careers and will focus on online business development.

The event will run online from 10-11 November and feature a line-up of international, pioneering speakers from the worlds of finance, podcasting and business management.

There will be presentations from each speaker, workshops and activities, and resources to use after the event.

“I have seen so many businesses that have successfully pivoted and changed over this period and they are still looking for areas to create passive income and getting their knowledge into online courses to help their clients and audiences,” said Trudy, who also runs the Hampshire Women’s Business Awards.

“This will help women at any stage of their business and empower them to develop their skills into creating an online business and enable them to reach their goals.”
