THE companies and individuals that help put the magic into wedding days have been saluted at an awards ceremony.

The Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards were held at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Saturday.

They are aimed at promoting support and collaboration in the industry as well as honouring outstanding work.

Sam Savage of South Coast Events, which organises the awards, said: “It’s a really wonderful evening after a year of hard work by local wedding professionals.

“It’s their turn to be looked after and celebrated.”

Winners of each category were as follows.

Bridal wear: Mousetrap Dress Boutique.

Cake: Scrumptious Bakes by Emma.

Wedding extra: Brock Ice Traditional Ice Cream Bikes.

Entertainment – DJ: Alan Granville, Hampshire Wedding DJ.

Entertainment – live music: Soulstar Music.

Entertainment non-musical: Swit Swooo.

Florist: Jo Hicks Flowers.

Hairstylist: Dollymix Brows & Beauty.

Make-up: Lee O’D Makeup & Hair.

Newcomer: Charlotte Rose Floral Design.

Outside suppliers: Baylily Bell Tents.

Photographer: Martin Bell Photography Ltd.

Stationery: Laurel Designs.

Venue: Leith’s at Beaulieu.

Venue stylist: Tie The Knot Events.

Videographer: Chris Spice Films.

Wedding planner: Behind the Scenes Events.

Contribution to the wedding industry: Blacknest Golf & Country Club.

Highest overall score: Chris Spice Films.

The People’s Choice Award, which is voted for by the public, went to Caked Away.

The Peers’ Choice Award, voted for on the evening by the attending finalists, went to Invited with Love
