TWO MasterChef winners are among the judges for the first street food awards in Hampshire.

Jane Devonshire, 2016 winner, will be judging all things gluten free. Jane has been cooking gluten free meals for the last 14 years to support her youngest son who was diagnosed as coeliac at the age of two.

Also on the judging panel is 2008 champion, Shelina Permalloo, whose Southampton restaurant Lakaz Maman specialises in Mauritian street food.

The Hampshire Street Food Awards are the brainchild Jeremy Gaskin, who owns and runs a crepe and coffee kitchen from a converted Citroen HY van.

Jeremy said: “I’m so excited about welcoming these fantastic judges to the first awards. They all have a huge amount of talent in different areas of food and I can’t wait to hear what they think of the brilliant vendors that are entering.”

The judging panel is completed by food stylist and writer, Susie Carter, Britain's Best Home Cook quarter finalist, Katie Davies, and chef Tom Henson.

The Hampshire Street Food Awards will be held in November 2019.
