A NEW partnership has been launched to offer free business support in Hart.

On Monday, 1 October Hart District Council launched a new partnership with Enterprise First to offer free business support services for micro and small businesses based in Hart.

The new partnership will enable people who are looking to start a business, or businesses looking to take the next step and grow, access to a free impartial and confidential business mentoring service.

The adviser will work with businesses on business planning, including looking at the funds available, market and competitor research, and the challenges of starting or growing the business.

Speaking about the new service, Councillor David Neighbour, leader and cabinet member for economic development at Hart District Council, said: “I’m delighted to launch this new service in Hart. Small businesses are the backbone of our economic profile with 88 per cent of businesses in Hart classed as micro businesses.

"This new partnership is just one of a range of new initiatives we as a council are launching, and we will continue to support these businesses to maintain a thriving local economy.”

John Mitchell, chief executive of Enterprise First, said: “I’m sure our partnership with Hart District Council will deliver real benefits to businesses in the area.

"Help and advice will be available to all, everyone from pre-start to existing companies, and our adviser team are keen to get started and support a thriving entrepreneurial culture.”
