A FIRM of solicitors is celebrating landing industry recognition.

Phillips Solicitors has been granted the prestigious Lexcel standard from The Law Society.

The Basingstoke law firm, which has its Town Gate offices based in London Street, has been re-accredited with what are considered to be the gold-star legal quality mark.

The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to law firms which provide the highest level of client care and business management standards.

Accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in client care, structure and strategy, financial management, information management, people management, risk management, file and case management.

Phillips Solicitors senior director Howard Gardener said: “This is a highly prized standard and we’re very proud to receive it again.

“Gaining and maintaining Lexcel is no mean feat. It is a real credit to everyone at Phillips and, on behalf of my fellow directors I congratulate them on this achievement.

“However, it is our clients who are the main beneficiaries as they can be assured that the way we manage the firm has their interests at heart.

"There is a lot of choice in the legal market but Lexcel accreditation demonstrates our commitment to client care and best practice.”
