HAMPSHIRE based MasterChef champion Jane Devonshire, is set to share her passion at the upcoming Local Produce Show.

Now in its tenth year, the event organised by Business South, Paris Smith, Hampshire Fare, Hampshire Farmers’ Markets, New Forest Marque, Southern Co-op and Cavendish Ships Stores, brings together some of the region’s small food and drink businesses with chefs and buyers seeking to source new produce.

The MasterChef winner will open this year’s event, which will take place at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl on Thursday, 25 January 2018.

Jane’s traditional food, inspired by her family, captured the attention of MasterChef judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace on the show hit show in 2016 and has enabled her to follow her dream.

"Food is an absolutely solid and integral part of my family life, both when growing up and now,” she said.

“It represents so much more to me than just food - the best times are always when good food, family and friends surround you.”

At the show, Jane will talk to guests about the importance of buying local as well as her other passion, charity work.

One day a week she puts aside time for support for two cancer charities which are very close to her heart, Ark Cancer Charity in Basingstoke and The Haven. As well as working with charities, Jane is also working closely with local schools to impart her enthusiasm for food amongst the students.
