WINCHESTER-based architect practice ADAM Architecture has won its third award in three months.
The latest, The Giles Worsley Award, celebrated the modern take on Georgian architecture at The Nadler Soho Hotel in London.
The practice won the award at the Georgian Group Architectural Awards earlier this month.
The hotel, which was opened in June 2013, replaced a 1960’s building and acts as a focus for an important view west from Soho Square.
The five storey hotel has refined classical detailing and simple brick facades. Over the main entrance there is a large bronze figure by award-winning sculptor Hew Locke of the Greek goddess of the moon and magic.
Director Robert Adam said: “We are delighted to receive this important award. It shows how a modest classical building can make a major difference to its surroundings.”
ADAM Architecture has previously won Planning Permission of the Year for the new development at Wellesley, Aldershot and the 5-Star UK Property Award for new housing at Bentley Priory in Stanmore.
