NEW Alresford Town Trust are looking for more Trustees to fill vacancies.

The Trustees have various activities during the year, with two projects on the go at the Eel House and the Old Fire Station, where it is setting up a museum alongside Artworthy Framing.

It has various other activities such as the Minibus, Thursday Market, October Fair and the trees on The Avenue and Broad Street.

If you do not wish to become a Trustee perhaps you would like to be a volunteer, helping with the activities and Open Days.

The trust meets six times a year and the meetings normally take no more than one and a half hours.

ROPLEY Horticultural Society generally meets at 7.45pm on the last Monday of the month, at Ropley Sports Pavilion (SO24 0DJ) in Vicarage Lane, Ropley with an invited speaker. It holds Spring and Summer shows, a Plant Sale in May and organises social outings which are only available to non-members if numbers permit.

VILLAGERS in Cheriton have been busy raising money for local causes.

A wine tasting evening on November 9 raised more than £350 for the village hall.

The Cheriton Archives, local documents, mementoes and photos, boosted village hall funds by £210 on November 2 and 3 in an event organised by Pat Culpin.

The Village Hall Quiz Night on October 11 raised a superb £1,327 for village hall funds.
