AN ALRESFORD councillor has asked for the consultation period on one of the town's largest developments in decades to be extended.
Cllr Margot Power told this month's full council meeting that she has asked for extra time on the February 4 date for the former police station building and Station Mill, in Station Road.
McCarthy and Stone Retirement Lifestyles Ltd wants to demolish the police building and put up a three-storey detached building with 15 retirement apartments. It also wants to extend Station Mill to form five flats.
