THE annual funfair returns to take over Broad Street in Alresford later this month.
The fair will be set up on October 16 bringing rides, inflatables, games and food stalls to the wide street.
Organisers say this year's special new attraction is the Extreme, βan amazing thrill seeking ride, not to be missed.β The event starts at 2pm until 9.30pm.
The Funfair has its origins in the sheep fairs of the Middle Ages and stems from a charter of 1242 given by Henry lll and then endorsed by other monarchs.
The fair is held on the first Thursday after Michaelmas Day, originally on or around October 11.
