PARKING in Alresford has generated so much revenue that the town will not be required to make a financial contribution to fund parking wardens this year.
Pay and display car parks received in excess of 300 visits from traffic wardens during the 2013 calendar year. Across the town a total of 666 tickets had been issued for the same period.
The town council has confirmed they have been trying to implement two-hour free parking facilities but have been told they are still waiting for support from Winchester City Council.
