MORE than £2,500 was raised at charity at a garden party held in Upham near Bishop’s Waltham.

Tom and Rosamond Sweet-Escott were the hosts and around 150 guests came to the event.

The money was raised for BUGS - Burns Unit Group Support – which is based at Salisbury District Hospital.

The group is trying to secure money to build a roof garden for patients to enjoy, and grow their own plants.

Because of the burns unit’s specialist work, patients are taken there from across the region, including Hampshire.

BUGS sold several ladybird-themed gifts at the garden party earlier this month (May) to tie in with the charity’s logo.

The event was also attended by hospital chiefs, along with staff from estate agents, Savills, which supported the event.
