A TRANSATLANTIC cocktail of talent is coming to The Railway Inn at Winchester on Saturday, October 28.

The show features Peter Bruntnell, who often has an American flavour to his guitar-based work, despite his British roots.

He has been performing live gigs throughout Europe for much of the year, and has made time to visit Winchester on his travels.

He is expected to perform tracks from his current album Ghost in a Spitfire, which was released on October 3.

It follows on from previous releases including Played Out, Ends of the Earth and Normal for Bridgwater.

The concert at The Railway Inn is also scheduled to feature a set from Rachelle van Zanten.

Raised in British Columbia, she is renowned for her ability to play slide guitar, and has also encouraged others to get involved.

Last year, having left her previous band Painting Daisies to go solo, she helped to create a "Rocker Girl Camp" in her native Canada.

She has now travelled across the Atlantic and has spent the recent months in Europe promoting her album, Back to Francois.

Her first gig in Britain was held at The Railway Inn back in July. Organisers said the response was so favourable that they immediately invited her back, resulting in the gig at the Winchester venue later this month.

Aside the two headline acts on October 28, The Railway Inn will also be playing host to a new acoustic act from Southampton called Duckfeet.
