THE high quality of landscape design and ongoing garden maintenance at Wyke Mark in Dean Lane, Winchester, has earned retirement specialist, English Courtyard, a national award for green-fingered excellence.
Judges for the New Homes Garden Awards chose Wyke Mark above all other retirement developments in the 2006 round of the prestigious accolades, which focus solely on the importance of outdoor living space.
Wyke Mark was completed in 2004 and the gold award in the Best Landscaped Retirement Development category is the latest in a long line of national awards, reinforcing English Courtyard's commitment to ensuring that trees and flowers enhance bricks and mortar from the outset.
The communal gardens at Wyke Mark were designed by landscape architect, Tim Lynch, and implemented by Andover-based Kieron Beattie Landscapes. Day-to-day maintenance is undertaken by the scheme's resident courtyard managers.
