WINCHESTER City are planning to bring in some more reinforcements to boost their Sydenhams Premier title hopes.
Depleted City were denied a point at fellow high-fliers Bournemouth Poppies, after conceding a last gasp goal in a 1-0 defeat – their second straight league defeat without scoring.
City were down to the bare bones at Victoria Park due to a long list of injuries and were forced to field Conor McCarthy, even though he was carrying ankle, groin and knee injuries.
City’s injury situation worsened after five minutes when midfielder Liam Crook limped off injured after five minutes.
City owner Paul McCarthy said: “We have a depleted squad but hopefully in the next week to ten days that can be rectified and we can be a force in the league again because we are desperate to win it.”
