REGIONAL food is a huge crowd puller at the CLA Game Fair if history is anything to go by, and between July 28-30, county food group Hampshire Fare will be co-ordinating the Totally Food Show as part of the CLA Game Fair.

Produce from Hampshire, including cheeses, game, cakes, ice cream and frozen yogurt, rare breed meats, cider, chilli jam and garlic, will be on sale within the Regional Food Tent, historically the busiest area of the Game Fair, together with producers from across the UK.

Also within the Totally Food Show, the Cookery Demonstration Theatre will include a full daily programme of well known chefs including Ross Burden, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and the River Cottage team.

Children can learn more about food and join cookery sessions in their own Waitrose Children's Theatre, and visitors can rest their feet in the picnic area to the sounds of live music.

Hampshire infant and junior schools have also entered into a competition co-ordinated by Hampshire Fare to design a healthy lunch box or school meal encouraging the use of locally-sourced food.

Winners will be invited to the CLA Game Fair with their family for their entry to be made up and displayed at the Totally Food Show.

The CLA Game Fair is the world's largest countryside show, attracting in excess of 130,000 visitors and more than 100 exhibitors.

The show covers everything from food to fishing, and gardening to gundogs.
