But the brave duo from Winchester Samaritans went through with their skydiving challenge, raising valuable funds for their employers.
Rachel Shaw, 26, of Fraser Road, Kings Worthy, and Gerry Cepelak, 45, from Middle Wallop, are aiming to rake in more than £500.
“As a keen skydiver I was keen to get involved and raise as much money as possible for Winchester Samaritans,” said Mr Cepelak. “The branch receives over 44,000 calls, emails and text messages a year and without people's generous support the centre couldn't continue to help those in need.”
