AN appeal has been lodged after council planners snubbed a scheme for new homes in Stanmore, Winchester.
The applicant, Keith Read, wants to bulldoze a pair of semi-detached houses at the corner of Fox Lane and Chatham Road.
In their place, he wants to put six properties, including two houses and four flats.
Winchester City Council’s planning committee threw out the scheme last year.
The matter is now likely to be decided by a Government planning inspector.
