POLICE are hunting a thief who stole a member of staff’s wallet at Romsey Hospital.
Officers say a man was acting suspiciously in the outpatient’s department shortly before the theft was discovered on Tuesday afternoon.
The police say that, when challenged by staff, the ginger-haired man acted in a “sheepish” manner before leaving the building.
It’s not known how much money was in the missing wallet. Police are now appealing for the man to come forward so he can be eliminated from the enquiry.
Anyone who was in the hospital at the time and saw the man, described as being about 30 and wearing a black shirt, isasked to call police on 0845-045-4545.
