COOPER. Cyril James M.B.E. Deeply loved, highly respected, sadly missed. On Sunday, May 4th, 2003, aged 88, at Westacre Nursing Home, Winchester. Husband for 62 years of Molly, father, and father-in-law of Martin and Lesley and a grandfather and great-grandfather. Formerly General Secretary of the English School's Cricket Association, a member of the Lord's Taverners and M.C.C., a life Vice President of Hampshire Football Association, and much involved in all branches of sport. Private cremation, followed by a service of Thanksgiving for his life at St. Lawrence Church, Winchester, to which all friends are invited, on Monday, May 12th, at 11 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the English School's Cricket Association or the Lord's Taverners, may be sent to Jno. Steel & Son, Funeral Directors, Chesil Street, Winchester.
