Paddleboarding to the pub is the latest summer adventure capturing imaginations, and one route in Hampshire has captured some interest.
According to Paddle UK, the growing trend combines a love of the water with exploring riverside coffee stops and waterside pubs.
Plenty of videos shared on social media have shown paddleboarders stopping for coffee or perhaps a non-alcoholic beer along the way.
Rich Ramsdale, head of recreation at Paddle UK, said: "Paddleboarding is more than just exercise.
"Whether it’s paddleboarding with friends, or trying out SUP yoga paddling gives people the chance to slow down, switch off and reconnect with nature.
"It’s great that we’re seeing more people explore their local waterways, discover independent cafes and pubs, and experience places they simply wouldn't see from the road."
Gaining traction on social media is an option in Hampshire, which is said to offer a unique experience.
Hampshire's hidden waterside pub route
The route is along the River Hamble, where several posts on TikTok and Instagram have introduced thousands of people to The Hidden Tap at Botley Mill.
It’s a riverside brewery taproom with a twist, as paddlers can pull a bell rope from the water’s edge, place their order, and drinks are lowered down from the pub above using a wooden pulley system.
One of those showing the feature off was Pinky Paddles, who posted: "Finally visited the hidden tap tho we had a fun adventure navigating fallen trees to get there."
In the comments to their post on TikTok, one said: "That's brilliant!
"I wish this happens on the pubs on my route!"
Another wrote: "Love this idea!
"More places should do it."
The Botley Brewery, which is attached to the Grade II Listed Botley Flour Mill from 1955, is owned by husband and wife Rob and Meg Sanderson and has been running since 2012.
The Hidden Tap was then opened over seven years ago, right next door.
Opening times are 5pm to 10pm from Tuesday to Thursday, 12pm to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 12pm to 8pm on Sundays.
It has also earned an almost-perfect 4.9/5 score on Tripadvisor from 25 reviews.
One person wrote: "We visited Botley Brewery and Hidden Tap for the first time yesterday evening.
