The closure, between its junctions opposite Three Acres and Larkwhistle Farm, begins on Monday, August 24.
An alternative route is available via Chapel Lane, B3047 Main Road, Avington Road and A31 Alresford Road.
The road will be closed between 8am and 6pm.
Hampshire County Council has granted the closure for Circet to carry out the work.
The work is expected to be completed in two days, but the closure order remains valid for up to six months if necessary.
Circet will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
