A retired nurse is swapping her scrubs for adventure on a new journey across Europe.
Carol Wilson from Winchester recently retired after nearly 14 years of service at Naomi and Jack’s, a hospice in Sutton Scotney.
Describing her time at the hospice, Ms Wilson said: "Naomi and Jack’s is an incredibly nurturing environment where every detail is carefully considered.
"All I have ever wanted to do as a nurse has been to help someone else and give them the best part of myself in doing that.
"Working here is all about making a difference in our children’s and young adults’ lives.
"I will treasure all the happy memories of the people I have worked with and will be checking in on social media regularly to see what they’ve all been up to."

Ms Wilson said: "We’ll be starting the trip with a family wedding in Majorca and then we will be visiting wherever the wind takes us.
"I can’t wait!"
