A hospice in Hampshire is calling on the public to help secure their future by leaving a gift in their will.
Naomi House & Jacksplace, who provide hospice care for children and young adults, is taking part in the national This is Hospice Care campaign - now in its second year.
Gifts in wills help fund the equivalent of 400,000 nights of hospice care every year, and without them, 30,000 nights of care could be lost each month.
Mark Smith, chief executive at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: “Our vision is a future where children, young adults and their families have access to compassionate support and expert palliative care, when and where they need it, on the good days, difficult days and last days.
"We can only provide outstanding care because of the community of people who support us.
"In fact, over 80 per cent of the income we receive is from our community of supporters.
“A gift in your will costs you nothing during your lifetime and won’t affect you now, but will one day make a huge difference to the lives of families facing some of the most difficult situations imaginable.”

Recent research by Hospice UK found that while legacy giving is growing across the charity sector, hospices’ share of this support is declining.
In Southampton, 78 per cent of adults surveyed said hospices deserve greater support, and a third said they would like to donate to their local hospice in the future.
However, only 26 per cent have considered gifting to a charity in their will.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of how crucial legacy gifts are to hospice funding, with more information available by visiting naomihouse.org.uk/giftinwill or by calling Amanda Mahoney on 01962 760060.
Dee, whose child Charlie receives care at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: "I know the team at Naomi House & Jacksplace care for Charlie really well, so I have no reservations at all about leaving him there.
"I know that he is being looked after and there is nobody else who can do that for us.
"We had preconceptions about Naomi House & Jacksplace.
"We thought it was just for end-of-life care, we didn’t know about all the other amazing things that come with it.
"But now I see it from the other way round."
