A new system has been launched to help victims of fraud and cybercrime.
Report Fraud, which replaces the previous Action Fraud platform, offers an improved national service for reporting cybercrime and fraud, with a focus on collecting evidence to support police investigations.
Between October 2024 and October 2025, nearly 12,000 incidents of fraud and cybercrime were reported in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with losses exceeding £150m.

Donna Jones, police and crime commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, said: "Cybercrime and fraud have fast become the most common crimes in the UK, costing our economy billions of pounds every year. Action Fraud was not fit for purpose so I am hoping Report Fraud rectifies that."
The new service aims to give individuals and businesses a faster, easier way to report incidents, while delivering higher-quality intelligence to police.
Ms Jones emphasised the widespread impact of these crimes.
She said: "Thousands of people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have fallen foul through multiple means including dating scams, online shopping, ticket fraud or having their social media, emails and businesses hacked."
Members of the public can report fraud or cybercrime at reportfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040.
