The Grinch swapped Whoville for Naomi House & Jacksplace to deliver Christmas cheer.

He paid a visit to the children's hospice in Sutton Scotney last week, where he spent time with children and young adults. He posed for photos, shared laughs, and spread festive fun before making a swift exit back to Whoville.

Claire Potterton, play and activities team leader, said: "It was so much fun to have a visit from the Grinch and Father Christmas all in one afternoon.

"Ironically, the Grinch spread a lot of fun and festive cheer and didn’t try to pinch any Christmas trees or presents."

The Grinch visit was donated by video game publisher Outright Games, which often supports the charity’s Game On fundraising initiative.

Following the Grinch’s appearance, the children and young adults met Father Christmas in his grotto in the Jacksplace garden, and everyone was given a present tailored to them.

Ms Potterton said: "One special moment was when a young lady called Holly came into Jacksplace.

"Holly particularly enjoys walkie-talkies, and so the Grinch and I decided to communicate with walkie-talkies, which made her smile her lovely big smile.

"It was a wonderful moment."

Naomi House & Jacksplace are hospices providing care for children and young adults.
