The scores are in — the latest batch of food hygiene ratings for Romsey and Test Valley restaurants, takeaways and businesses have been revealed.
Environmental health officers from Test Valley Borough Council have been busy this fortnight visiting businesses across the borough to see if they are meeting hygiene requirements.
Based on guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency, inspectors look to see how clean the facilities are; what food safety management procedures are in place and how hygienic food handling is.
Ratings are then dished out from five to zero — with the higher score the better the result.
The following premises have been rated five or 'very good':
- Dangerously Delicious Food, rated 5 on Monday, October 20
- The Filling Station, Winchester Auto Barn, Hill Farm Garage, rated 5 on Tuesday, October 21
- The Ginger Bread Lady, rated 5 on Monday, October 27
- Gee Cartwright Cookery, rated 5 on Tuesday, October 28
- Gourmet Grill Mobile, rated 5 on Wednesday, October 29
- Powder Monkey At The Guildhall, Ground Floor And Forecourt, The Guildhall, rated 5 on Wednesday, October 29
- Russett's Hot Hut, rated 5 on Wednesday, October 29
- Sugar Coated - Cakes By Wendy, rated 5 on Wednesday, October 29
Businesses may have been reinspected since and this will be reflected in our next round-up.
