A charity dog walk is being organised to celebrate a woman’s ten years in remission from cancer.
Lucy Bull, 36, will be holding The Walkies for Life on Saturday, November 22 at 10am from The Northbrook Arms in East Stratton to raise money for Naomi House and Jacksplace Children’s Hospices.
She previously held a sponsored horse ride The Trot for Life, after being diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2015 and raised £7,500 for The Pink Place and The North Hampshire Medical Fund.
She said: “I reached 10 years in remission in November, so it's about being able to give someone back to people.”
“It’s not like a 100-mile walk, it's more about a nice way of everybody getting together and raising money for an important charity.”

Participants are encouraged to wear bright colours and bring wellies and umbrellas.
The walk, which will begin on the village green opposite The Northbrook Arms, will be an hour and a half long, with a short half an hour option also offered, and will finish back at the pub, where there will be hot food and drinks.
Lucy, who owns dog walking business Countryside Paws, will be taking her two springer spaniels, Chip and Spud, along for the walk.
She said: “When I was going through my cancer, I was starting The Trot for Life, and I had it in the back of my mind to do one with the dogs.
“I’m really excited, I’m hoping it will be as successful as The Trot for Life.”
There will be prizes for the best dressed, rosettes for all participants and walkers without dogs are welcome to join in.
She is hoping that if the event is popular, it will become an annual event raising money for different charities.
