The Hampshire Chronicle is once again celebrating the start of the school year with its popular First Class photo supplement. A cherished tradition, the supplement offers a heartwarming keepsake for families and school communities, capturing the excitement of children beginning their educational journey.

Following last year’s success, the Chronicle is inviting even more schools to take part in this year’s edition. Schools are encouraged to submit class photos or smaller group images of their Year R pupils. To respect safeguarding concerns, any children who cannot be photographed should be cropped or obscured before submission.

The deadline for photo submissions is Friday, 24 October, with the supplement set to appear in the Thursday, 6 November edition—just after the October half term. Bulk pre-orders are available at a discounted rate via https://store.newsquest.co.uk.

We will also be running a version for the Romsey Advertiser, in the edition printed on Friday, November 7.

Photos should be emailed to newsdesk@hampshirechronicle.co.uk with “First Class” in the subject line. Please include the school name and class details. Images must be JPEG format, landscape orientation, and ideally over 1MB in size.

For any queries, contact the newsdesk directly. The Chronicle team looks forward to receiving your submissions and sharing this special milestone with the community.
