The scores are in — the latest batch of food hygiene ratings for Romsey and Test Valley restaurants, cafes, takeaways and businesses have been revealed.
Environmental health officers from Test Valley Borough Council have been busy this fortnight visiting businesses across the borough to see if they are meeting hygiene requirements.
Based on guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency, inspectors look to see how clean the facilities are; what food safety management procedures are in place and how hygienic food handling is.
Ratings are then dished out from five to zero — with the higher score the better the result.
The following premises have been rated five — very good:
- Becks Bakes and Cakes, rated 5 on Wednesday, September 3
- Brighterkind at Ashbourne Court Care Home at 13 Salisbury Road, Andover, rated 5 on Tuesday, September 2
- Costa Coffee Drive Thru at Costa Coffee Ltd, Unit 1, rated 5 on Wednesday, September 3
- Costa Coffee Drive Thru at Unit 4, Adanac Health and Innovation Campus, rated 5 on Friday, August 29
- Meadow at Stockbridge House, Stockbridge, rated 5 on Tuesday, September 2
- Richmond Lane Guest House at 5 Richmond Lane, Romsey, rated 5 on Sunday, August 31
- T And M Stores at 7 - 9 Viney Avenue, Romsey, rated 5 on Wednesday, August 27
Businesses may have been reinspected since and this will be reflected in our next round-up.
