A charity shop in Winchester was forced to shut for a day following a night time break-in.
The Naomi House & Jacksplace store in St George's Street was broken into overnight on Monday, August 11, leaving behind property damage and stolen goods.
The shop was forced to close for a full day while police investigated the scene, however opened again on Wednesday, August 13.
Rob Gordon, Head of Retail at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: "It’s heartbreaking that a charity shop can be targeted in this way.
"Local people’s donations of stock, the sale of which were meant to help the families who visit our hospices, have been stolen.
"However, we are reminded of the generous community of Winchester and thank them for their ongoing support and trade.

The shop has been part of the Winchester community since 2004 and is one of the charities busiest locations.
The shop now faces repair costs as well as the loss of income from stolen items and repairs will be handled by the hospice’s own maintenance staff and volunteers.
