A gaming event has helped raise more than £40,000 for children's hospices.

Outright Games' 'Game On' Humble Bundle has raised a total of £34,188 to support Naomi House & Jacksplace, hospices for children, young adults and their families.

The games bundle was released in conjunction with the hospices' annual gaming event, Game On, which welcomed video game enthusiasts to play games and raise money for the local hospices.

The Game On bundle was made possible by the leading publisher of family-friendly interactive entertainment, Outright Games, which is based in Lee-On-Solent and generously matched the amount raised for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

The money raised could help fund more than 1,400 hours of expert nursing care for children and young adults who visit Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Stephanie Malham, managing director at Outright Games, said: "We are incredibly honoured to have been a part of this campaign with our friends at Naomi House & Jacksplace.

"The success of Game On! and the overwhelming response to our Humble Bundle campaign truly highlight the powerful role gaming can play in making a difference.

"We’re excited to continue working with their amazing team and offering our ongoing support."

"It’s always an exciting weekend, with gamers taking on challenges and forfeits to encourage donations.

"This year, we were thrilled to see the community raise around £7,500 over three days by livestreaming their gameplay in support of our hospices.

"We were proud to launch our first-ever Humble Bundle in partnership with our friends at Outright Games, raising an incredible £17,000 in just three weeks.

"The generosity didn’t stop there — Outright Games generously matched the total, bringing the overall amount raised by the gaming community to more than £40,000.

"To put that into perspective, it’s enough to fund a member of our care team for an entire year.

"We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make such a meaningful difference."
