A Shakespeare festival is set to return to a Christmas tree farm for the second time.

The Petersfield Shakespeare Festival (PSF) will return to Wylds Christmas Tree Farm, Liss, in July, with a revival of their 2021 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The 2021 production marked the end of lockdown and was performed with socially distanced rehearsals and a full moon and rainbow during the performances. The 2025 production will be dedicated to Jon-Paul Rowden, who played Bottom in the original production.

The festival will run from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, with proceeds going to the charity MIND.

The venue will open early to allow visitors to enjoy the festival atmosphere. Tickets are available at psfest.co.uk and are priced to encourage attendance, with concessions available.

The eight actors will perform in a clearing beneath an oak tree. The festival will begin with refreshments and live music at the 'Bottoms Up' bar, followed by a promenade up the hill to the performance area.

Reviews from the 2021 performance praised the production, with one audience member saying: "A perfect setting, a rumbustious, lively enactment in the true spirit of what Shakespeare really intended.

"Thank you so much for bringing such joy and laughter to us."
