Winchester MP Danny Chambers opened the Owslebury Fete for the first time earlier this month.
The new parliamentarian, who is also a qualified vet, was invited to the event and later judged the Fun Dog Show on Saturday, September 7.
The categories were waggiest tail, best trick, and best in show.
Mr Chambers introduced the guests to his 14-week-old Labrador puppy, Moose, but chose not to enter him into the contest to avoid any conflict of interest.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which raised just over £3,000 for St Andrew’s Church, Owslebury, and the village association OMCA.
The fete featured a range of games, including a crazy golf course designed by local resident Paul Simmons, and a bric-a-brac stall.
Refreshments included a barbecue, sponsored by local dentists White Winchester, a beer tent organised by the Lift Controller, and a tea tent with homemade cakes.
Organisers expressed gratitude for the ongoing sponsorship from Charters Estate Agents.
