A NEW piece of art by the artist known as Winchester’s Banksy has been discovered.
Hendog, an anonymous graffiti artist, has painted a teddy bear with wings on a railway bridge in the Winchester area.
The picture was first discovered on Saturday, September 7 in one of the Watercress Way’s unused railway tunnels.
In a post on Instagram showcasing the latest piece, Hendog said that the title of the piece is “Chapter 9 ‘The Fallen Bear’”.

This is not the first time that Hendog has painted pictures featuring bears.
In August 2022, the artist completed a piece in Guildford titled “Lost Bear Vol.1” depicting a girl dropping the Bear.
Since then, the bear has been seen in multiple works across Hampshire, becoming homeless, getting in trouble with the police, and becoming reliant on alcohol.
This is not the first Hendog mural to appear in the Winchester area this year – as previously reported, a mural of a girl playing with a daisy chain was seen in Bishop’s Waltham in February.
