PUPILS across Romsey were crying with joy as they eagerly opened their GCSE results.
The Romsey School and Mountbatten School saw scores of pupils preparing for college or an apprenticeship at the results morning on Thursday, August 22.
Annie Eagle, headteacher at The Romsey School, said: "I am incredibly proud of our students for their remarkable achievements this year. Despite the challenges faced, they have demonstrated exceptional aspiration and perseverance. Our dedicated staff have played a crucial role in this success, going above and beyond to provide high-quality education and a caring approach for all the students.
“I would also like to offer my congratulations to all our students, we wish them continued success in their future endeavours. I would also like to thank our parents and carers for their unwavering support and partnership. These results are a clear indication in which The Romsey School is heading in, and we are excited to build on this success in the coming years."
Ruby Marshall got a grade six in Latin. She said: “I did not expect a six in Latin to be honest.” Ruby is going to Peter Symonds College in Winchester to study biology, chemistry and psychology.

Kate Vickerage, who got six nines, said: “It’s amazing, I really didn’t expect so many nines.” Kate is doing geography, politics and English literature at Peter Symonds College.
