IT's back! Boomtown is opening its gates in the next couple of days.
The event has officially sold out for 2024, and organisers have listed public information for residents and commuters who will be affected by the festival.
Boomtown 2024 - Chapter 3: Revolution of Imagination, returns from August 7 - 11 at South Downs National Park, near Winchester.
Key dates for disruption and closures:
Tuesday, August 6 - Monday, August 12: 40mph speed limits in place on the A31.
Saturday, August 3 - Monday, August 12: 40mph speed limits in place on the A272.
Lane closures and merges on the A31 will be in operation between Wednesday, August 7 at 3am - Monday, August 12 at 10pm.
U-turns at the Ladycroft roundabout on the A31 will not be permitted for vehicles
to proceed westbound on the roundabout or from the B3047 Alresford Road
(except buses) on Monday, August 12 from 9am-4pm.

Newburgh Street near Winchester Train Station may close during the festival for train station bus operations, but this will not be enforced unless required.
On Wednesday, August 7, Thursday, August 8 and Monday, August 12, roads local to the festival site may be subject to closure to protect residential areas from heavy traffic congestion. Residents
needing to use a closed road can speak to accredited staff for access.
The South Downs Way footpath will be diverted from Monday, August 5 - Wednesday,
August 14 inclusive. There will be signage in place signifying the diverted walking
route around the perimeter of the event site. The diversion is necessary in the
interests of public safety.
Cheesefoot Head Car Park will be closed from Monday, August 5 to Wednesday, August 14 inclusive.

A31 from M3 Junction 9/Spitfire Link to Alresford
