Hampshire History Trust is launching a new lecture series - Hampshire History Midweek Musings.
The first talk, by Dr Helen Lawrence-Beaton, will shed light on celebrated Baroque architect Thomas Archer, known for his influential array of English architectural designs in the early 18th century.
Taking place at ADAM Architecture offices in Hyde Street, Winchester on Thursday August 8, the 6pm talk will discuss Archer's landscape innovation and his documented works in Hampshire.
This includes detailing his pioneering work at his Hale estate, where he is buried in the estate church.
