A WINCHESTER man has been fined for travelling on a train without paying for a ticket.
Neil Anthony Munkley, 42, of Hyde Gate, Hyde, travelled on a train from Swaythling Station without paying the £8.20 rail fare on January 18, a court heard.

On Wednesday, July 17 at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, Munkley was found guilty of the crime under the single justice procedure.
He has been fined £220, and must also pay £8.20 compensation, a victim surcharge of ££88 and £180 costs.
The total amount of 496.20, more than 60 times the price of a ticket, must be paid by July 31.
