Thames Water is talking about removing acres of farm land for a reservoir; no way.
Why not carry out similar to what was done up north?
Dig into the hill; and build a massive stainless steel tank, then cover all up, this could be done under the South Downs.
No sore points just a sensible answer to the water problem.
Far too much arable land is being removed, not good for the climate, as it puts more pressure on the third world to increase deforestation in order to meet our food requirements.
