I am a person who loves to seize on an opportunity to pay a compliment when it's deserved and this is one of those times.
I have experienced cancer with my mother and later, my husband, who both died.
It was a real shock then, at the end of March 2024, to discover I had breast cancer, you never think it's going to happen to you. It was a very stressful and worrying time, that is until I met Miss Deyana Oweis, my onco-plastic surgeon and her team of breast care nurses at The Florence Portal House.
Miss Oweis explained everything so well at each stage which took away my anxiety and gave me the strength to cope. Each time I had an appointment at the Florence Portal, it was like visiting family. In particular, the care I had from Miss Oweis was outstanding, inspirational and made me feel very fortunate indeed to be under her care. I shall never forget her, or her wonderful breast care nurses' team who are extra special, and I will be forever grateful to them.
Thank you - two little words - but which express my most grateful and sincere thanks.
