A ROMSEY man has been banned from driving for almost two years after failing to help police.
Guy Ayers, 46, of Tate Close, refused to provide a specimen for analysis when he was stopped by police and asked to take a breath test near Basingstoke on Sunday, February 26 last year, a court heard.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 17, Ayers pleaded guilty to the offence.

On Tuesday, June 11, magistrates banned him from the road for 22 months.
A three month curfew has also been put in place, requiring Ayers to stay at his home on Tate Close between 8pm and 8am, from June 11 to September 10.
Ayers must also pay a victim surcharge of £114, and costs of £300. The total amount of £414 must be paid in full by July 7.
