Winchester firefighters were called today (June 4) to an alarm sounding in Bridge Street.
The public surrounded the historic Winchester City Mill, which is owned by the National Trust, when the alarm went off at 4pm.
According to Hampshire Fire Service, the cause of this alert was caused by a system fault.
The crew returned to the station following the stop message at 4.11pm.
