A HAVANT man has been fined after being found guilty of assault in Alresford.
Andrew Harman, 61, of Blenheim Gardens, beat a woman on Wednesday, July 5 last year, a court heard.
He had denied the charge but magistrates at Aldershot found him guilty of assault by beating on Friday, May 17.
Harman has been ordered to pay compensation of £100, alongside a £225 fine. He must also pay a £90 victim surcharge and costs of £650.
The court ordered that the total amount of £1,065 must be paid by Sunday, June 16.
