A SWANMORE man has been given a suspended sentence for driving while disqualified.
Kenneth Mawhinney, 38, of The Lakes, Swanmore, was caught driving on the M3 on Friday, March 1 when he was disqualified, a court heard.
Mawhinney was also found to have been driving without insurance while using fraudulent license plates.
He pleaded guilty to all charges at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on March 4.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on May 1, Mawhinney was given a 16-week sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Mawhinney has also been disqualified from driving for 31 months and complete 30 days of a rehabilitation activity.
