A SCORCHING day greeted hundreds of people at the Bramdean Village Fete.
The sun shone as just under 500 people descended on the gardens of Bramdean House on Saturday, May 11.
There were plants, toys, home produce, gifts, books, bottle stall, bar, teas, children's games and races.

Members of the Salvation Army Band also played there.
In the best year of fundraising yet, £8,140 will be donated towards the maintenance and upkeep of the fabric of the nearby church of St Simon and St Jude.
A total of ten per cent of the proceeds will go towards local charities, Home Start and Winchester Youth Counselling.
