Mr Tamang is also the founder of DT Coffee Roastery, in Moorside Road, which is a specialist retailer supplying coffee to businesses in the UK and internationally.

The store is still undergoing refurbishment and has boards up across the windows and doorway to prevent anyone from being able to see inside. The windows have been covered with the Kavi Coffee branding, with the tagline “A revolution is brewing”.

The unit was previously home to Sofa Workshop. Two years ago, items in the doorway of the empty unit were set alight sparking an arson investigation.

Six-time UK Latte Art Champion, Dhan Bahadur Tamang, said: “We can’t wait to welcome you all next week, where we will be bringing modern technology, mixed with world class skill in speciality coffee and exceptional food coming to Winchester."
